Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CSR Realty Appraisers collects through this website, why, and who else sees it. It covers the website only. Information you give us in the course of an appraisal assignment is governed by the engagement letter for that assignment and by the confidentiality rules in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Information you give us
The quote form asks for your name, a phone number or an email address, and — optionally — the property address, what the appraisal is for, and anything you want to tell us. You choose what to put in it. A name and one way to reach you are the only required fields.
When you submit it, that information is emailed to us and stored in our own database so the enquiry is not lost. If you used the property lookup first, the public-record summary shown on screen is attached to the enquiry as well, so we can see which property you meant.
The property lookup
The address you type is sent to two services run by the State of New Jersey — its address geocoder and its parcel and assessment layer — to find the public record for that property. We do not control those services and this policy does not cover them.
We keep a record of the searches made on this site, including the address searched and the public-record details returned, whether or not the search led to an enquiry. That tells us which towns people are asking about and where the State's data cannot answer.
We do not request or store the property owner's name. It exists in the State's assessment data and we deliberately do not ask for it. Public record does not mean this site should republish a named individual next to their assessment.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one uses cookies and similar storage to understand how it is used and whether our advertising works.
- Google Analytics (G-91CGH25SPE) records pages viewed, roughly how long, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location derived by Google from your IP address. It sets its own cookies.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (AW-17958410716) records when someone taps our phone number or submits the quote form, so we can tell which advertising produced an enquiry. It sets its own cookies.
- Campaign information. If you arrive from an advertisement or a link carrying tracking parameters, we record those parameters, the page you landed on, and the site that referred you. This is held in your browser for the length of your visit and is attached to an enquiry only if you submit one.
- A random session identifier is created so that several property searches in one visit are not counted as several visitors. It is not derived from you or your device and it is discarded when you close the tab.
We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string in our own records. Google and our hosting provider process IP addresses as part of delivering and measuring the site; we do not keep them.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. It reaches a small number of service providers because they run parts of this site:
- Google — analytics and advertising measurement.
- Supabase — the database holding enquiries and search records.
- Resend — delivery of the enquiry email to us.
- Cloudflare — hosting and security for the site.
- The State of New Jersey — address and parcel lookups, as described above.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while they are useful to the relationship they came from, and longer where a record has to be retained — an appraisal workfile must be kept for at least five years under USPAP, and longer if the assignment was involved in litigation. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics. Search records are kept as aggregate demand information.
Your choices
- You can browse this site without giving us anything. The quote form is optional and so is the property lookup.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on. Parts of the site will still work; our measurement of it will not.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and tell us what you are asking for.
Children
This site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will change this page and the date at the top of it.
